Буддын шашны тэргүүн Далай лам BBC-д ярилцлага өгсөн байна. Өдгөө 79 настай Дээрхийн гэгээнтэн өөрийгөө Буддын шашны хамгийн сүүлчийн тэргүүн байж магадгүй хэмээн ярьжээ. Түүнийг хорвоогийн мөнх бусыг үзүүлсний дараа хойд дүрийг нь тодруулахгүй байх нь дээр гэдгийг ч онцлов. Учир нь зохисгүй хүмүүсийг хойд дүрээр тодруулах аюултай гэжээ.

Италийн Ром хотноо саяхан Нобелийн шагналтнуудын уулзалт болсон билээ. Энэ үеэр католик шашны тэргүүн Ромын пап Далай ламтай уулзаж ярилцахаар төлөвлөсөн байжээ. Гэвч католик шашны тэргүүнулс төрийн шалтгааны улмаас татгалзаад “Хятадын нөхцөл байдал хүнд байгаа” хэмээн тайлбарласан байна.

Хятадын эрх баригчид Далай ламыг улс орныг тараан бутаргах бодлого явуулдаг хэмээн буруутгаж улс төрийн болон шашны зүтгэлтнүүд түүнтэй уулзахад эсэргүүцэл илэрхийлдэг билээ.
